Step One: Dry Out the Lights!

Avoid rain or car washes.  Keep the lights and the edge space of the front hood covered or away from any moisture.

Run your lights with high beams all the time!

Drying time can be days or a week or more..

Get All the Moisture Out!

  • By keeping the vehicle dry, especially not allowing any direct water to enter the edges of the hood and headlights, the headlight compartment will eventually dry out


  • Keep your high beams on whenever possible, this will speed up the drying process!

When the headlamps are dry, it is time to repair!

Only when the headlights are fully dry should you continue on with the repair:
